MY STORY
It started by chance, but I don't believe in accidents. There's a reason I found my way to video editing. Here's my story.
I graduated with an IT degree, but a multimedia class in college sparked my passion for visual storytelling.
That led to my first job where I got to explore graphic design, but I was eager to learn and grow. I tried different things – even working in a call center – but nothing compared to the thrill of creating.
Then the pandemic hit, and the Philippines shut down. Jobs were scarce, so I turned to my camera and editing software. I started a YouTube channel, creating travel and informational videos to keep my skills sharp and connect with others.
To make ends meet, I juggled freelance editing gigs with being a delivery rider. It was a crazy time – days spent zipping around the city on my motorcycle, delivering food, while my nights were spent applying for freelance jobs without much success.
One day, I found a job posting for a fully remote video editing position at an agency in USA. I applied, thinking it was a long shot, but they hired me! Suddenly, I was working from home, collaborating with famous influencers, and creating videos seen by millions worldwide. This experience opened doors to working with even more clients directly, giving me the opportunity to further expand my skills.
My role evolved, and I even started training other editors remotely. It’s been an amazing journey, from a fresh IT graduate to a video editor for global stars, all from my own home. Through it all, my love for creating and telling stories through video has been my driving force.
